The Panther Math Competition is Now the Prime Math Competition!
Math is more than computational methods; it is instead a much deeper and elegant field. Through the Prime Math Competition (PMC), we hope to make this other side of math more accessible to all.
We aim to foster a love of math that anyone can enjoy and experience.
Many math competitions require participants to pay a fee to enter, but we believe that our mission is above monetary concerns.
From Certificates, to Medals, to Dozens of Donuts, we ensure that competitors are rewarded for their performances.
This competition is directly aligned with core content, so you don’t have to worry about seeing something unfamilar on the exam.
Every student deserves an equal chance to test themselves against similar peers. We’ve done this by creating multiple versions of the competition, each of which tests concepts at a specific math level.
You don’t have to worry about having to arrange transportation to the PMC. We work with schools to host the competition during school hours for our participants’ convenience.
Math is more than a jumble of numbers and symbols. It’s more than prememorized formulae. It is a way of thinking and solving problems creatively, with more than one solution. The subject has elegance that can be felt and understood by anyone, no matter their past background in the field.
The pandemic has left lasting effects on students, creating a challenging learning enviorment that has left some feeling left behind, while some other students have felt a greater disconnect between themselves and school. We wish to remedy this issue by reinvigorating that spark of learning within all of our participants.
